twitter pt2

following on from my last post

this seriously pissed me off. luckily I car share with the marketing director and a couple of other people. it was that guy who sent out the initial email, I am seriously going to let him know what I think!

the whole point of twitter is the interaction it give, it’s a sort of level playing field where you can talk to anyone, they may not reply but hey what the hell.

what happened to free speech …. oh yeah I live in the uk where you cant talk freely I mean just look at the poor guy who made a joke about an airport only to be arrested and charged under the anti terrorism laws.

seriously WTF is happening to the world

twitter

ive been on twitter a while now and yesterday the company that I work for set up an account and started tweeting. I don’t have a problem with that but I do have a problem with an email that came around from management to all staff that may follow then on twitter. it basically said that
- no staff member could reply or retweet any of the content of the company twitter feed without the consent of senior management !

WTF ….. up to that point I had followed them … just coz !! but that email made me unfollow them I mean that’s totally missing the point of a social media platform like twitter !!!!

oh well! to coin a phrase from a friend on here

my god it’s warm

just got out of a nice air conditioned gym and it feels like someone forgot to tell the sun that it was supposed to be 94 million miles away feels more like its sitting in the bak of my car at the min saying “are we there yet”

grrrr oh well nice BBQ weather …. got to get home a d get the burgers and ribs ready :)

olympics

on a similar theme to my last post

I can’t be anything than totally underwhelmed about the Olympics. it’s a total waste of tax payers money to make a minority of people happy.

will we get any medals , fuck no … we’re monumentally shit at all Olympic sports in the country.

on a positive note , when certain events are on the sports centres will be empty, perfect time for me to go to the gym or play badminton or swim

got Lisa’s brother around the house at the minute and he’s not taking the hint that I can’t stand football . it seems that saying I hate it straight to his face isn’t a big enough clue.

I’ve got a 3.5 hr scrum planning meeting this morning, not looking fwd to it. on the up side - we have our Jenkins server up and running again so happy days !
